WHAT TO EXPECT
Push boundaries as a Cyber Security Engineer joining JLR’s central Vehicle Cyber Security team. Cyber Security is a fast paced and dynamic area of the automotive industry. You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the development of our autonomous, connected, electric, and shared future to ensure we are robust to emerging security threats.
The team provides cyber security expertise and leadership in a range of areas relating to JLR vehicles as well as supporting infrastructure, and forms part of the electrical and vehicle engineering department within JLR’s product engineering function.
JLR is looking for experienced Cyber Security Engineers who will be responsible for working with JLR product teams to perform a Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) and develop the overall Cyber Security Assurance case, for JLR vehicles, features and ECUs.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Authoring Cyber Security assurance case documentation to support the development of JLR products, features and ECUs, in conjunction with the relevant product owners and teams.
2. Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARAs), and attack tree analysis.
3. Identification, review and specification of security controls needed to protect JLR and customers.
4. Support the creation of an overall vehicle security case.
5. Ensure teams and suppliers are correctly following Cyber Security processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards such as UNECE.R155 or ISO21434.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1. Practical experience performing TARA and security case development.
2. Detailed understanding of the application of UNECE.R155 and ISO21434.
3. A demonstrable knowledge of high integrity systems, and secure software and/or hardware design principles, in an embedded environment.
4. The ability to engineer in a way that is demonstrably compliant with standards and technical specifications.
