Our client, is an evolving and growing Biotech advancing novel therapeutics. As part of advancements, they are now building a core UK Medical Affairs group to include a regional associated team of territory based Medical Liaison professionals.
Reporting directly to the UK Medical Affairs Director, the regional Medical Science Liaison will be tasked with the evolvement of engagements at key centres of excellence with the associated Healthcare Providers (HCPs), clinicians and associated KOLs.
The Medical Liaison for the North UK & Scotland region work in conjunction with a collaborative group including medical, commercial and development - Taking a territory lead in collaborations and insights with the associated healthcare community and driving engagements with relative thought leaders.
The position requires an established UK based Medical Liaison, with associated credentials in both build planning and preparations for launches, plus post launch activities and ongoing territory assigned management. You will have a demonstrative industry background in high level scientific exchange working in a regional MSL function, plus credentials in assembling and delivering relative scientific and medical information for the associated therapy indication.
The regional MSL will contribute in addition as part of the day to day responsibilities:
* Contribute, deliver and share medical and scientific insights associated to the disease areas
* Assemble up to date insights and relative data from Healthcare professionals (HCPs) to assist the wider Medical Affairs group in contribution towards advanced patient care programs.
* Present relative scientific and medical information to associated Peers and Clinicians within the regional territory
* Provide support and relative information for advisory boards and associated scientific forums - Gathering insights and contributing to wider company strategy developments
Experience aligned working in smaller growth Biotech and/or associated new/growing innovative development settings would certainly be advantageous, combined with the adaptability and know-how to quickly establish relative connections across the associated regional territory.
Key associated Skills & Experience Desired:
* Ideally located within the associated territory region of - North UK or Scotland
* Advanced medical/scientific degree: MD/PhD (Or) MSc/BSc/Pharmacy Degree – Also considered with aligned industry Medical Affairs and Medical Liaison experience
* Experience either in industry, research relative, or combined in: Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Liver Disease or Diabetes
* Direct Medical Affairs experience: Circa 4+ Years
* Working as a UK based regional Medical Science Liaison: 2+ Years
* Ability to travel regionally as required: 70-80%
* Experience working in developing and growth organisations advantageous, with a strong collaborative and team ethic approach
