Overview
Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Contract Manager on behalf of a well-recognized Building Services contractor, who provides a range of services including Mechanical Services, Electrical Services, Air Conditioning Services, and Refurbishment works.
Operating for over 50 years, they offer their services to a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, health, leisure, and education. Recent clients include Rudding Park Hotel, Cedar Court, Yorkshire Building Society, Care Homes, Schools, and Colleges.
As the Contract Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the contract, engineers, and sub-contractors including commercial and reporting. Day-to-day close liaison with the client is required. The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-motivating, experienced manager that has worked in Building Services/FM.
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday, with a salary of £45k - £50k per annum. Benefits include car allowance, pension, annual bonus, and long-term service bonuses at 5, 10, and 25-year intervals. You will receive 22 days of holiday plus bank holidays, which will increase with length of service. The area of work will cover the West Yorkshire / North Yorkshire area.
Responsibilities
1. Be responsible for all staff, budgets, and performance of Building Services maintenance services to ensure day-to-day contract requirements are fully met.
2. Ensure a safe working environment.
3. Manage projects and deliver against contracted targets.
4. Manage the team including recruitment, development, appraisal, absence, discipline, etc.
5. Exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within budget.
6. Quote jobs.
7. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients to ensure client satisfaction.
8. Ensure operational delivery is high quality and compliant with statutory and contractual obligations.
9. Meet all key performance and management indicators.
10. Add value, increase productivity and identify and implement cost efficiencies.
Skills & Attributes
1. Hold relevant electrical qualifications.
2. Previous experience working as a Contracts Manager ideally with an M&E/Building Services Contractor.
3. Excellent team management skills and demonstrated team development abilities.
4. CAFM system experience would be beneficial.
5. A good understanding of Health and Safety.
6. Strong financial acumen.
7. Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
8. People management and staff supervision skills.
9. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
10. Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
