As a Technical & Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role, managing the design and development of systems, ensuring all technical drawings, components, and production requirements meet customer specifications and align with industry regulations. As a Technical & Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all products comply with building regulations, legislation, and directives.
Staying informed on industry advancements to drive continual improvement.
Managing project-specific product development to meet critical timeframes.
Providing technical solutions and acting as an escalation point for client queries.
Overseeing the production of technical documentation, including BOMs, wiring schematics, and CAD-based designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Reviewing team skillsets and promoting training and development.
Conducting bench tests on new products to maintain performance integrity.
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Upholding Health & Safety best practices and contributing to quality and environmental policies.
As a Technical & Design Manager, your experience will include:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or similar)
Experience in design for manufacture and sheet metal fabrication.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of delivering results under pressure.
Ideallyhave experience with CNC programming and Autodesk Revit (not essential)
Ideally have familiarity with contracting/construction site operations (not essential)
