Main duties of the job The Royal Marsden Private Care has made significant investment in developing new ways of working for senior cancer nurses. This includes Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) in Private Patient Medical Day Units (PPMDU), Outpatients and Clinical Assessment Units. The Royal Marsden Private Practice operates from two centres which are located in Chelsea and Sutton, has a Medical Day Unit at Kingston Hospital and a new state of the art private diagnostics and treatment centre in Cavendish Square. The post holder is responsible for providing a comprehensive and high-quality cancer nursing service. They will lead the Advanced Nurse Practitioner team in providing advanced nursing support to patients with a variety of cancers, with responsibility for enhancing the patient experience of cancer treatment, ensuring continuity of care and influencing patient pathways. Leadership qualities across the clinical aspects of an international service model will be required to ensure service excellence, which exceeds patient / customer expectations. They will act as a highly specialised role model and leader for all members of staff and play a major role in the continuous development of the services within Private Care, and as an active member of a range of quality/process improvement project groups.
