Elevation Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Ecommerce Director to drive online sales growth, customer retention, and user experience by overseeing ecommerce strategy, managing 5 separate ecommerce websites, digital marketing, conversion optimisation, and online customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ecommerce Strategy & Management:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to drive online sales growth, increase customer retention, and improve user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align ecommerce initiatives with business objectives.
* Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of 5 ecommerce platforms, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management. Ensure seamless integration with supply chain partners.
* Optimise website performance for search (SEO), usability, responsiveness across devices, and accessibility guidelines.
* Digital Marketing & Acquisition:
* Design and implement effective digital marketing campaigns, including paid search (PPC), display ads, SEO, email marketing, and social media. Utilise data analytics tools to track campaign performance and measure return on investment.
* Develop, manage, and report on key ecommerce metrics (traffic, conversion rates, revenue) to inform strategic decision-making. Work closely with content and creative teams to produce engaging content that resonates with target audiences.
* Customer Journey & Conversion Optimisation:
* Use A/B testing, user data, and analytics to identify areas for improvement in the customer journey and enhance website functionality, user experience, and conversion rates.
* Develop and manage an ecommerce roadmap to align with business goals and priorities. Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
* Inventory, Logistics, and Vendor Management:
* Coordinate with product teams and supply chain managers to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory levels across all ecommerce platforms.
* Monitor product availability, manage stock levels, and communicate any stock or shipping issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
* Liaise with third-party vendors (logistics providers, payment gateways) to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer service.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in ecommerce management, digital marketing, or a similar role within a retail or consumer-focused environment.
* A background within sports/ fashion industry.
Desirable Skills:
* Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and content management systems (CMS).
* Hands-on experience with digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, affiliate marketing).
* Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) and conversion optimisation strategies.
* Data-driven mindset with ability to analyse ecommerce performance metrics and make informed decisions.
* Experience with A/B testing tools and techniques.
Salary Estimate: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
