Director of Learning & Development
London / Hybrid 50:50
£120,000 + depending on experience
Alexander Lloyd are pleased to partner with this global professional services business consultancy in their search for a Director of Learning & Development. Managing a function of over 20 FTE across all workstreams, you will provide strategic direction, implementation and thought leadership to enhance a learning culture and ensure that the investment in learning supports all people, teams, and the organisation to succeed.
A key part of this role involves implementing an approach to identify and embed core skills learning across the business. This will help people develop the knowledge, skills, behaviours, and mindsets needed for success now and in the future.
You will collaborate and engage with subject matter experts across the business to build an inspiring, motivating, and engaging learning proposition for all colleagues. This includes using advancements in technology and data to enhance our learning initiatives and keep them innovative and agile.
You will lead a team of professionals in Learning, Performance, Line Management, and Professional Qualifications. Together, you will design, evolve and implement innovative, impactful and commercial learning, talent, and performance strategies to meet our evolving business needs.
Successful applicants will have:
* Extensive leadership experience in designing and implementing learning strategies, strategic people initiatives, and organisational change.
* A minimum of 5-10 years in senior leadership roles.
* Proven ability to develop and embed organisation-wide learning and performance strategies to meet strategic objectives.
* Experience leading learning teams in a regulated environment, with a clear understanding of professional qualifications, quality, knowledge management, and performance.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Experience leading a team of around 20 or more people is essential.
* Experience managing a large budget, identifying the best areas for spend, and ensuring efficiency and cost savings.
* Clear and concise project management skills.
* A relevant Masters, ILM, or CIPD qualification in a related field (e.g. leadership, organisational development, psychology) is preferred
