Our client is looking for a part-time commis chef to join a vibrant pub near Brackley.
Working split shifts Wednesday and Thursday every week with the occasional overtime to cover holidays and sickness. The successful candidate must have experience working in a restaurant style kitchen and ideally have relevant food/hygiene certification.
Shifts: 10am-2.30/3pm - 6pm-9.30pm.
Requirements:
1. A passion for food and an eagerness about cooking and kitchen operations.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy service times.
3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
4. A positive attitude and a willingness to be a team player.
5. Ability to provide clear communication between kitchen and front of house staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Keep all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized in line with health and safety regulations.
2. Assisting Head Chef: Support the head chef with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients. Plating food to the highest of standards following given briefs.
3. Maintaining Kitchen Standards: Regularly clean kitchen surfaces and floors, ensuring the kitchen environment is safe and hygienic.
4. Other Duties: Take on any additional tasks as directed by the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Pay is £110 per day plus tips.
