GDS Link is seeking a talented Business Development Rep in the UK (Leeds office) with business development experience working in B2B software sales. The ideal candidate will have high energy, motivation to succeed, and a proven ability in effective outreach, leveraging team marketing efforts, sales tools and other means to engage targeted B2B prospects.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with the regional sales and marketing team to develop and lead targeted campaigns from idea generation through to engagement.
2. Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest in the GDS Link solution, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity.
3. Proactively organize and maintain the sales pipeline, keeping detailed records of leads and prospect interactions.
4. Identify multiple persona-relevant contacts per target account and facilitate multi-channel outbound campaigns (e.g. email, phone, LinkedIn), ensuring messaging matches target persona.
5. Track, maintain and report lead generation activities (Salesforce and HubSpot).
6. Actively contribute and self-report in regular individual and team sales meetings.
7. Stay up to date with market developments, industry trends, competitor activities and value propositions.

Requirements:
1. Self-starter, problem solver, flexible and open to feedback. You’ll be supported by collaborative colleagues who share a purpose.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to craft compelling messaging.
3. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
4. Tenacious mentality with 2+ years of experience in business development and lead generation, successfully prospecting and self-generating leads.
5. B2B audience outreach experience to FinTech, Banking and Financial Services sectors preferred, with proven success meeting quotas and goals.
6. Inquisitive to learn and open to creating and working with new ideas and methodologies.
7. Experience in leveraging technology in the marketing and lead development process, and maintaining an accurate database within Salesforce.
8. Willingness to frequently work from our company office and collaborate with key stakeholders.
9. Must successfully pass a thorough background check and have authorization to work in the home base country.
