This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager looking to progress or a Registered Manager seeking a new challenge in a supportive and high-quality care environment. About the Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered in line with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations (2015), and Quality Standards. You will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment that enables young people to thrive. Key Responsibilities Provide strong leadership and management to the residential care team, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Maintain and develop a culture that prioritises the welfare and safeguarding of young people. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to policies and procedures. Work closely with local authorities, external agencies, and families to ensure positive outcomes for children. Implement effective staff recruitment, supervision, training, and development strategies to build a skilled and motivated workforce. Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and health & safety procedures. Lead on inspections, ensuring the home is always Ofsted-ready and meeting regulatory requirements. Participate in an on-call rota, providing leadership support as required. Candidate Requirements Registered with Ofsted or eligible for registration. Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards for Children's Homes. Proven experience in residential childcare, social care, or youth work, with expertise in supporting children with Emotional Behavioural Disorders (EBD). A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare. Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (provided by the employer).
