Payroll Assistant Job Type: Temporary (4 months) Location: Hertford Start Date: New Year Our client in Hertford is seeking a Payroll Assistant for a four-month temporary assignment. This role involves managing a weekly payroll for 2,000 employees and a monthly payroll for 500 employees. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with the Earnie Payroll system. Day-to-day of the role: Processing weekly payroll for 2,000 employees and monthly payroll for 500 employees. Ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations. Handling payroll queries and resolving issues efficiently. Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. Updating payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles. Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in payroll processing. Must have experience using the Earnie Payroll system. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
