Who You Are You are a skilled social worker with the capability to manage complex care proceedings and demonstrate excellent time management skills. You're adept at handling routine social work interventions and statutory work, along with holding care planning and PEP meetings. Your role involves direct work with young people, advocating for their needs, and escalating complex cases for higher professional input. You're experienced in engaging with multi-agency teams, assessing risks, and designing support plans that meet the needs of children, families, and carers. You have the ability to take on increasing levels of complexity and responsibility while making independent decisions to safeguard children's welfare. What the job involves The role entails managing an allocated caseload of up to six sets of Care Proceedings, ensuring Court timetables are adhered to, and conducting multiple assessments simultaneously. You'll be responsible for care planning, referring families to relevant services, and working as part of a team to support at-risk children, their families, and carers. You will develop care and education plans, recommend external support when required, and work within budgets to ensure effective resource utilization. As part of a duty system, you'll respond to crisis situations, manage risks, and ensure all actions are grounded in professional guidelines. Your decisions will be aimed at achieving positive outcomes and safeguarding children's welfare through well-recorded and evidence-based plans.
