Role Overview : We are seeking a proactive and dedicated People Advisor to provide essential administrative support to the People Team, as well as office management and diary coordination for our Managing Director. This dynamic role ensures smooth day-to-day operations across HR functions, payroll administration, and personal assistance to senior leaders. You will be a key link between the People Team and the wider company, contributing to a positive, efficient, and collaborative work environment. Why Chestnut? Human Resources: Assist in the daily operations of People functions, providing support to HR duties and maintaining accurate HR records. Manage and update HR data within the S4 system, ensuring accuracy and integrity of employee records. Provide support on employee relations matters, assisting with investigations where required. Oversee HR administration tasks such as employee files, surveys, and exit interviews. Administer the Recognition & Benefits program and manage communication materials for the People Function. Prepare and distribute offer letters, contracts, and starter packs for new hires. Assist in payroll processing, ensuring accurate rota closures and liaising with payroll providers and finance teams. II. Office & Administrative Support: Maintain a positive and efficient office environment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed. Provide personal assistant support to the Managing Director, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and handling various administrative tasks. III. Additional Responsibilities: Support team-building activities, events, and People Campaigns. Act as a first line of support for HR Systems. Take on ad hoc duties as required to support the wider business. Knowledge & Skills : Essential : Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience using design tools such as Canva. Knowledge of LinkedIn for employer branding initiatives. Desirable : Background in hospitality or retail service. Skills : Strong communicator with excellent organizational skills. Self-motivated and capable of problem-solving independently. Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to change. Personal Characteristics : Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive can-do attitude. Strong attention to detail and highly reliable. Passion for the hospitality industry and a team-oriented mindset.
