Due to business growth, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paint Technician to join the team at our Steer Corby site.

About the Job
As a Paint Technician with Steer Automotive you will play a pivotal role in the accident repair process, restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition with precision and excellence.
You will:
* Perform high-quality paint repairs, including colour matching, blending, and finishing, to restore vehicles to factory specifications and with a perfect finish.
* Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring that equipment and tools are properly maintained and used safely.
* Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure a clear understanding of repair needs and expectations.
* Conducting final checks to ensure the painted job is acceptable for refitting.
* Performing high volume repairs in accordance with BSI PAS 10125 standards.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
* Ensure that the spray booth is run efficiently and effectively.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
* Significant experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician, ideally within an automotive repair background.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to produce high quality work.
* Excellent communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry best practices.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
* Experience leading a paint team and building their knowledge and skills.
* A strong team player as well as able to work independently and on their own initiative.
Ideally you will hold ATA/NVQ qualifications, and we will support renewing these.
