Here at TP Tutors, we are seeking an individual who is both dedicated and passionate about making a difference to join our team as a SEN tutor. You will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, providing tailored academic support and fostering a positive learning environment to young people who are not in a mainstream educational setting. Responsibilities:
* Develop individualized learning plans based on students' strengths and needs.
* Implement effective teaching strategies to engage and support students with SEN.
* Adapt curriculum materials and resources to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
* Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
* Collaborate with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements using our LEAP platform.
Required Qualifications:
* Have QTS or be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or SEN/SEMH experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* A relevant degree in Education or a related field.
* Experience working with students with SEN/SEMH.
* Knowledge of different learning disabilities and strategies to support them.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
* Experience in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Training in specific interventions such as Makaton or TEACCH.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
