We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated person to develop and implement effective strategies to promote positive behaviour in school within a team. You will support our students in regulating their behaviours and enable them to access the learning in lessons. You will be involved with attendance, wellbeing, mindset and parental engagement in order to create holistic interventions intended to support the student. You will work closely with students, teachers, parents and other staff members to address and resolve barriers to learning and will contribute to the overall wellbeing and academic success of the school community.
The role involves working as part of a team with students and parents to provide early intervention, support and guidance; ensuring that students come to school, stay in lessons and are able to learn. You will proactively build relationships with parents and carers and will contribute to the smooth running of the Reflection Room.
The role will require a desire to work with young people to make a difference.
Candidates will need to be assertive, calm and effective communicators; with the ability to make connections across a broad range of support agencies.
You must have a good standard of education, including Maths and English to GCSE Grade C or 4 equivalent.
At Amersham School we pride ourselves on our ability to provide each and every one of our students with a first class and personalised education which enables them to flourish and succeed in all areas of school life.
