What skills and experience we're looking for
We have full time vacancies as well as part time job share vacancies offering either 2 or 3 days per week - term time only plus inset days. Hours for all vacancies are 8.30am to 3.15pm with no flexibility to vary these hours.
Hours available:
- Full time - 31.25 Hours per week - £18,482 Per year
- 3 days - 18.75 Hours per week - £11,089 Per year
- 2 days - 12.5 Hours per week - £7,392 Per year

Learning Support Assistants work as part of a team providing care and learning experiences for our pupils encouraging them to develop to the best of their potential. You will be based in one class and will help pupils with their learning, go out in the community and manage behaviour.
We are looking for people who are caring, playful, patient and pro-active with a good sense of humour and who are willing to join a team where we all do a bit of everything. Successful candidates need to be physically fit.
Previous experience of working with children and young people with SEN is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
The Avenue Special Needs School is a vibrant and friendly school which supports more than 250 pupils, aged between 3-19, with a range of severe or profound learning difficulties, some physical disabilities and autism.
