Weare looking for an outstanding consultant psychiatrist to join our CommunityMental Health Service.
OurCMHS are recognised for the proactive, close working links with communityproviders and you will form a part of a service that prides itself on workingcollaboratively with colleagues in primary and secondary care. Likewise, theservice also provides excellent, high quality supervision to non-training gradedoctors and psychiatric trainees allocated to the team.
Main duties of the job
Asa consultant in the community service, you will be responsible for providinghigh quality care to community patients via outpatient clinics. As a senior clinician you will be at the coreof decision-making in patient care and service provision working closely withboth medical and operational management. You will be forward thinking and ableto provide sound clinical leadership to the experienced multi-disciplinary teamwith ease.

3. Eligibility for full registration with GMC with a licence to practice
4. Inclusion on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry at the time of taking up the Post (Specialist Registrars applying in advance must be within six months of their CCT at the point of being interviewed)
5. Eligibility for Section 12 and Approved Clinician Approval
6. Extensive experience in Community/ Adult Psychiatry essential
7. Knowledge of Mental Health legislation
8. Participation in Continual Professional Development
9. MDT working
10. Ability to offer expert psychiatric opinion on full range of emergency and routine clinical situations
11. Ability to apply evidence based approach to management of clinical problems
12. Ability to teach undergraduates
13. Ability to communicate with patients and staff, both orally and in writing, to a high standard
14. Computer and IT skills
15. Reliability
16. Excellent team working skills Caring attitude to patient and relatives
Desirable

18. Qualification in Teaching & Learning
19. Endorsement in General Adult psychiatry
