The Role: Waste Services Manager Are you an experienced waste management professional looking to take the next step in your career? In this pivotal role, you’ll act as the Council’s lead professional officer for waste services, overseeing key contracts for waste, recycling, and public conveniences. We’re looking for an experienced, dynamic, and self-motivated individual with a proven track record in managing waste services. You’ll bring a combination of technical expertise, strategic vision, and people skills to lead a diverse range of responsibilities. You’ll have: Experience : Managing waste and cleansing services, with strong contract and performance management skills. Knowledge : A good grasp of waste legislation, health & safety standards, and contract specifications. Skills : Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, plus the ability to manage budgets effectively. Attributes : A commitment to high service standards, customer focus, and delivering environmental objectives.
