They are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team based in Knutsford. (PERM)

Ideal Candidate:
1. Previous experience of purchase ledger
2. Experience using Sage Accounts and Microsoft Excel
3. Experience of the “Verify” purchase ledger system is desirable but not required
4. Construction industry & CIS scheme experience is preferred
5. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
6. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
7. Good timekeeping and an ability to meet strict deadlines
8. Organised, logical, and methodical approach
Responsibilities:
1. Using the “Verify” purchase invoice entry system to enter invoices into Sage
2. Manually entering invoices into Sage where required
3. Ensuring the correct coding of purchase orders and purchase invoices to nominal codes and project numbers
4. Ensuring timely approval of purchase invoices by managers
5. Use of the CIS module in Sage to process subcontractor invoices, verify subcontractors, etc.
6. Checking supplier statements and reconciling supplier accounts
7. Responding to supplier queries via phone and email
8. Processing supplier payments
9. Placing purchase orders with suppliers for the operational managers
10. Entering purchase orders into Sage
11. Maintaining approved suppliers/subcontractors board on “Mondays” system
12. Processing staff expenses
13. Other ad-hoc duties for the accounts department as required by the accounts manager or finance director
