ADMIN SUPPORT
About this role:
At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, we have a simple mission – Personal and Compassionate Care Every Time. Volunteers help to enhance the patient experience and complement the work of paid members of staff.
Volunteers assist the team in completing basic administration activities which ensure that the department can deliver services on time and effectively. Volunteers here will not be in direct contact with patients.
Commitment: A minimum of one 3-hour shift per week, Day and times flexible.
What are the key tasks?
1. Signing in at the beginning of your shift and check in with your supervisor to gain an understanding of key tasks that need to be completed and upcoming events.
2. Welcome and befriend any patients/visitors to the department and answer any basic queries.
3. Answer telephone calls, deal with general enquiries from prospective volunteers, and pass on messages to paid staff.
4. Sort out post and send letters.
5. Photocopy, file, and shred paperwork.
6. Debrief with the Volunteer Manager at the end of your shift, making them aware of work completed and any issues/concerns.

Essential requirement/commitment:
1. Volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
2. All Volunteers will require a DBS check.
3. Participation in the training relevant to your role and confidential discussion of any reasonable adjustments required to meet your needs.
