Are you an experienced leader with the ability to coach and mentor a team? Do you have a background in managing innovative community projects? Can you provide strategic leadership that inspires others and sets out a transformational plan to make communities more inclusive? If so, we may have the role for you.
Mencap is recruiting for the Head of Communities on a permanent, part-time job share basis (ideally 20-25 hours per week). Hours should run across 3 days and include Mondays and Fridays, with flexibility for the other day. Our community projects are based in England at various locations. We are flexible regarding your work location, and you can be based where it suits you best. There may be occasional travel to team meetings or perhaps to our London office at times.

Key Skills and Experience:
* Flexible and collaborative approach and open to job share
* Ability to lead Mencap’s ongoing development and growth of community-led activity
* Oversee budget, risks, reporting, and compliance
* Collaborate with fundraising to secure funding and sustainability
* Coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills
* Experience of delivering large-scale programmes
* Innovative, creative, and flexible approach
