Hunter Valley Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Preadmission Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team.
As a Preadmission Nurse your responsibilities will include:
1. Provide assessment of patient suitability for admission
2. Participate / lead in quality improvement activities driving operational performance
3. Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
4. Ensure patient and staff safety
5. Work with NUM team to drive private patient occupancy
6. Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle, close to beaches and the Hunter Valley and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. The hospital is an 83 bed facility which offers a variety of surgical, medical and rehabilitation services.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Current Registration with AHPRA
2. Working with Children check
3. Specialty nursing experience (desired)
4. Commitment to Quality Patient Care
5. Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
6. Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
7. Excellent communication and customer service skills
8. Works well independently and within a team
9. Basic computer skills
