Role
To assist and support the Electrical and Housing Managers to deliver electrical installation condition report and remedial repairs in Ministry of Defence housing properties.
Based on a normal 40-hour week this role will require the individual to be flexible and prepared to travel across the local housing estates maintaining the continuity of our client’s operations. You should be able to assist in the efficient running of a large operational facilities and demonstrate the ability to problem solve, understand other building services, and interact with the client.
This position will be traveling to various housing properties but may occasionally have to assist the electrical department with other work tasks.
The role will include completing EICR’s on Click software based on a laptop, C2 repairs with minor works certificates, dealing with no access as per procedures set by line managers, recording work tasks is via a tablet and completing daily timesheets.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Demonstrate competence / experience as a time served electrician.
• Work across a wide range of electrical installation types and materials
• Demonstrate competence of electrical testing and completion of electrical installation certificates (NICEIC).
• Produce reports required by their Line Manager.
• If required, participate in the on call and unsocial work requirements to support the ongoing FM delivery of the contract.
• Demonstrate a reasonable working knowledge of other building service systems.
• Willing to work overtime to support the needs of the Business.
These duties and responsibilities may be changed in accordance with the needs of the company, in particular the post holder may be required to provide support to holders of other posts according to changes in workload and patterns of working.
Desirable But Not Essential
• Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
Essential
• Full UK Drivers Licence.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in completing EICR’s in domestic properties.
