The Head of IT and Data is a senior leadership role in which you will be responsible for overseeing VoCoVo's technology infrastructure, data management, data infrastructure, AI capabilities and business transformation efforts.
The Head of IT and Data will ensure that all IT initiatives align with VoCoVo's business goals, meet regulatory requirements, and maintain a high level of operational efficiency. The role is crucial in ensuring the IT teams' practices are scalable, secure, and compliant while supporting business growth and innovation. The Head of IT and Data will be a key member of the extended leadership team with full responsibility for IT, Data and systems and managing a small group of IT professionals.
Please note, to apply for this position you must be based in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK. This is a hybrid working position with up to 2 days p/w in either of our Cheltenham or Shipton under Wychwood office locations.
What we're looking for
* Deep understanding of IT and data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, data protection laws, AI compliance).
* Experience in overseeing data management processes, data architecture, data privacy, and security standards across large-scale organisations.
* Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks and experience in managing IT-related risks, including global data security and cybersecurity risks.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders to ensure compliance with IT, data, and AI policies and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
* Proven ability to build out a strategic technological vision and roadmap, all the way through to implementable solutions.
* A team player who has strong prioritisation skills, can lead through change and is not afraid to get involved in the detail to impact in a hands-on fashion alongside strategic and operational tasks.
* Experience in supporting accreditations, e.g., NIST, Cyber Essentials, PCI-DSS compliance, ISO27001, IoT Security Foundations.
* 10+ years of experience in IT, data management, AI, and compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing governance and compliance functions.
* Relevant certifications in IT governance (e.g., ITIL, COBIT), data privacy (e.g., CIPP), cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP), and AI compliance frameworks are highly desirable.
What you'll do
Strategic Leadership and Planning
* Develop and Execute IT, Data, and AI Governance Strategy: Formulate and implement strategic governance frameworks for IT, data, and AI that ensure compliance with industry regulations and organisational policies.
* Technology Roadmap: Define and manage the technology roadmap for Internal IT, data, and AI, ensuring it supports the scalability and performance of VoCoVo's physical and digital infrastructure and data-driven initiatives.
Governance and Compliance Oversight
* Data Governance and Privacy: Oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring that data is managed, stored, and processed in accordance with privacy laws and compliance standards.
* Regulatory Compliance Management: Ensure IT systems and data processes meet all regulatory requirements, including data protection laws, cybersecurity standards, and AI compliance.
Data Management and Integrity
* Data Management Strategy: Oversee the development and execution of strategies for data storage, processing, integration, and analytics, ensuring that data across VoCoVo is consistent, accurate, and accessible.
* Data Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures for internal systems (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses) to support business intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
* Collaboration with Product and Legal Teams: Work closely with product management, legal, and compliance teams to ensure all IT, data, and AI projects meet regulatory standards and business objectives.
* Business and IT Alignment: Collaborate with business units to ensure that IT, data, and AI initiatives align.
* Stakeholder Reporting: Regularly update executive leadership and relevant stakeholders on the status of IT, data, and AI governance, compliance initiatives, and risks. Provide recommendations for improving compliance and risk mitigation efforts.
Salary
Salary range: £90,000 - £110,000
