Job summary We are looking to recruit a receptionist to join our already established friendly busy team. This role would provide reception support to the whole practice. A knowledge of primary care, customer service and IT skills are essential, however this is not essential as training is provided. Good written and oral communication skills are essential as well as good time management, plus an understanding of patient confidential. This is a full-time post for approximately 30 - 37.5 hours per week raging from 7.45am - 6pm Monday to Friday. One late night cover till 8pm is only essential to cover sickness or annual leave. Additional hours will also be necessary to cover reception annual leave and sickness. Main duties of the job Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner either on the phone or face to face. Deal with general enquires both from patients and secondary care, this requires a helpful and professional attitude even when working under extreme pressure. Registration of new patients. Scanning letters, and a basic understanding of QOF plus be able to care navigate and a knowledge of primary care.
