The role involves managing site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining quality standards.Key Responsibilities: * Supervise on-site HV cable installation, jointing, and termination works. * Coordinate daily activities and resources to ensure project milestones are achieved. * Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards. * Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, clients, and utility companies. * Review and interpret technical drawings, cable route plans, and method statements. * Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings. * Monitor site progress and report to the Project Manager. * Maintain detailed site records, including site diaries, permits, and material deliveries. * Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of HV cable systems. * Support testing and commissioning teams where required.Requirements:Essential: * Proven experience supervising HV cable installations (33kV and above). * In-depth knowledge of HV cable installation techniques, including trenching, ducting, jointing, and terminating. * Strong understanding of relevant standards (e.g., DNO/TSO specs, IEC/BS standards). * Valid CSCS or equivalent site safety card. * SMSTS or SSSTS certification. * First Aid at Work certification. * Full UK driving licence (or relevant to country of operation).Desirable: * SAP (Senior Authorised Person) qualifications. * Experience with offshore or renewable energy projects. * Knowledge of cable pulling calculations and cable system design. * Familiarity with GIS or cable routing software.Skills and Competencies: * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation. * High level of attention to detail. * Problem-solving mindset. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, reporting tools)
