We are seeking a motivated individual to undertake a Supervisory/AUDITOR role within our Hotel Services Team in Royal Albert Edward Infirmary.
Working 15 hours per week. Working rota: Monday - Friday, 10.30 - 13.30, flexible.
The role will involve conducting regular audits of sites, primarily through the use of electronic data collection systems.
This role will suit someone with a keen eye for detail and an ability to support our team members in delivering an excellent cleaning service.
The post holder should have a flexible approach to working hours and be able to cover a variety of shift patterns as the service requires.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and ensuring a range of planned and unplanned quality audits takes place for the entire range of multi-disciplinary services within their area.
* Liaising with domestic and estates supervisors on urgent work.
* Reporting on audit outcomes.
* Contacting Matrons and Ward Managers/Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses and positively dealing with feedback.
* Working as part of a supervisory and auditor team.
* Adopting a flexible approach.
* Offering any training support needed.
* Helping maintain government standards.

Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* C.I.L.B City and Guilds N.V.Q Level 1&2 or equivalent qualification.
* Ability to demonstrate supervisory experience in a Domestic or equivalent role.
Desirable criteria:
* Health & Safety qualification.
* Team Leader/Supervisory qualification or equivalent.
Experience
Essential criteria:
* Understanding of the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
* Conversant with protocols in relation to infection control.
* Previous cleaning/domestic experience.
Desirable criteria:
* Previous supervisory/auditor experience.
* Bioquell Q10 - HPV.
* Decontamination Knowledge.
Skills
Essential criteria:
* Safe operation and use of a variety of cleaning equipment.
* Keyboard skills.
Desirable criteria:
* Ability to use IT packages including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Knowledge
Essential criteria:
* Full knowledge of domestic cleaning protocols.
* Knowledge of hygiene, health & safety, COSHH regulations.
* Knowledge of staff supervision.
* Understanding of rota management and annual leave.
Desirable criteria:
* Knowledge of the Hospital site and departments within it.
* Knowledge of Trust / NHS policies.
Additional

* Speak English to an appropriate standard relevant to their role.
* Flexibility to provide cover for colleagues.
