Cell Leader - Packing Department
An opportunity has arisen for a cell leader for the packing department. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global market leader within the military aerospace sector.

Salary is £40,000 - £45,000 + Great benefits including:

It is imperative that you have managed cells/departments within a factory or warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Driving team performance against KPI/metrics, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of productivity levels, addressing areas of concern, and working to SOP’s practices and compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that work is accomplished to the highest standards of airworthiness and workmanship.
2. Developing and implementing departmental procedures and KPI’s and monitoring/ tracking performance and compliance.
3. Leading the team to meet business goals, overcoming challenges, and ensuring they have the support to excel in their roles.
4. Regularly reviewing workload and work patterns to ensure alignment with targets and KPI’s.
5. Implementing an induction plan for all new employees, including regular 1:1's, on and off the job training, buddying, setting performance expectations, supporting employees to complete employment checks, and conducting probationary reviews in a timely manner.
6. Holding regular team/department communications and clearly communicating tasks, goals, expectations, and company objectives.
7. Setting and monitoring performance expectations to ensure team performance is in line with expectations.
8. Monitoring absence levels, carrying out return to work, occupational health referrals, and formal processes.
9. Actively promoting and supporting company policies & procedures and initiatives such as inclusion and diversity, ensuring that inappropriate behaviours are challenged where necessary.
10. Completing appraisals within the appraisal season.
11. Conducting regular check-ins with the team and, where appropriate, signposting support from EAP and Mental Health First Aiders as required.
12. Ensuring that risk assessments, mandatory training, and health surveillance are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
13. Addressing discipline & grievance issues in a timely manner, including using informal methods to challenge misconduct/unacceptable behaviour and acting as an Investigating Manager or Disciplinary Manager as required.
14. Reviewing employee pay on a regular basis and supporting the Pay Panel Process by formulating proposals based on performance, additional responsibilities, or market rate.
15. Using informal and formal tools to acknowledge exceptional performance/achievement (with support from HR).
