Job description – Female Support Worker – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a number of full-time (40 hours a week) Female Support Workers to assist with supporting our young people with Mental Health issues. Successful applicants are required to provide satisfactory references and enhanced DBS disclosure. Experience with challenging behaviour and Mental Health is preferred, although full training will be given.

What will the job involve?
* Assisting our young people to improve their knowledge, skills, and independence.
* Providing personalised care and support to the young person in a variety of settings.
* Assisting with daily activities and taking an active role in planning and executing activities that the young people enjoy, contributing to their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
* Offering emotional support and companionship, creating a nurturing environment.
* Collaborating with our team and external professionals to ensure the best possible care for each young person.
* Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the management team.
* Maintaining records by keeping support plans and risk assessments up to date.
* Using your own initiative to highlight improvements that can be made in the way we operate and presenting them to management.
* Ensuring the homes of our young people adhere to our organisation's high standards and that they are well maintained, equipped, clean, and safe.
* Ensuring all tasks are being completed within set deadlines.
* You will be trained on how to carry out baseline observations and how to record your findings accurately.
* Delivering opportunistic health promotion where appropriate.
* Being a role model by providing a steady example as a positive role model, guiding and inspiring children and young people to cultivate essential life skills and behaviours that foster their overall growth and development, helping them become well-prepared for independence.
Requirements:
* The right to work in the UK - with no restrictions that would prevent you from working full time.
* Valid UK driver's license is preferable or a reliable source of transportation.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with the young people and colleagues.
* Basic IT proficiency for documentation purposes.
* You must be able to work 40 hours per week.
This is a 365-day-a-year job, including Christmas and New Year, so it is imperative that all applicants are fully flexible and can work:
