As a result of our continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors and are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join our team supporting projects across the Midlands. The successful candidate willmanage the design, construction, commissioning and handover of our projects on schedule and within budget; acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third party contractors and consultants; and and oversee all SHEQ aspects throughout the project's life cycle. The Role: Reporting to the Operations Manager/Director, you will be required to: Project Planning and Preparation:
* Lead the transition of projects from the sales department handover through the project lifecycle right through to handover to customer and the maintenance teams.
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
* Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all preparatory work is completed on schedule.
Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure all projects comply with the UK Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
* Develop and maintain necessary documentation, including Construction Phase Plans, Fire Risk Assessments, Traffic Management Plans, and Fire and Emergency Plans.
* Fire Risk Assessments, Traffic Management Plans, and Fire and Emergency Plans.
* Ensure the projects are delivered to the required particulars set out within the contractual documentation.
Quality Management:
* Enhance and update existing quality documents such as Project Quality Plans.
* Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and implement corrective actions as required.
* Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Budget and Programme Management;
* Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
* Develop and maintain project schedules through the installation phase, ensuring timely completion of all project milestones.
* Ensure Milestone Payments are applied at the relevant agreed points.
Stakeholder Management:
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
* Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates to senior management and clients.
Technical and Operational Support:
* Utilise Microsoft Dynamics CRM for project tracking and management.
* Provide technical support and guidance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues that arise during project execution.
Project Lifecycle Management:
* The project life cycle includes five main stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closure. Keeping an eye on the completion of each phase helps ensure the project stays on time and within budget.
Demonstrable project management experience from within the building services industry is essential
* Educated to HND/Degree level in either an Electrical, Mechanical or Construction discipline
* Proven and extensive people management experience
* Strong familiarity with project management software
* SMSTS
* CSCS/Skillcard - Black Manager Card
* Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office applications
