Due to expansion, we are currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to assist in supporting a small group of pupils based at our established SEN School in Congleton. The role will also include supporting our Assistant Psychologist and school administration support.
This school is a friendly and successful provision, currently supporting a number of vulnerable young children aged 7-18 years with special education needs.

Requirements:
1. Experience in supporting young people who have special educational needs (highly desirable)
2. Proven experience in working in an education setting (essential)
3. Proven experience in working with young people that challenge (essential)
4. Sound curriculum knowledge
5. A committed, conscientious and passionate approach
6. Dedication to support inclusion
7. The ability to plan, evaluate and monitor learning and progress
8. The ability to differentiate all aspects of learning to promote inclusion and attainment
9. The ability to build good relationships with young people and staff members
10. Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and use time effectively
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
12. A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations
13. A good sense of humour
14. Excellent working knowledge of programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
15. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and numeracy skills
16. Excellent organisation skills, able to multi-task and prioritise work effectively
17. A friendly manner with all visitors and stakeholders
18. Strong administration skills
19. Experience of working in a SEMH/SEND school (desirable)
20. The ability to update and maintain records on internal databases/systems
21. Understanding and experience of maintaining safeguarding and security procedures
22. The ability to respond to time sensitive tasks (often during busy periods) and meet deadlines
