Role: SENCo Job Type: Part-Time (3 days), Permanent Start Date: September 2024 Start Location: Richmond, Southwest London As the Primary SENCo, you will: Be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and evaluating effective strategies to support the learning and development of children with special educational needs. Work closely with classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students. Develop and oversee personalized support plans, ensuring they are tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges. Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and offering guidance on how they can support their child's learning at home. Provide ongoing training and support for staff to enhance their understanding of special educational needs, fostering a culture of inclusivity within the school community. Regularly assess the impact of SEN provision, collecting and analysing data to make informed decisions and continuously improve support services. Requirements for this SENCo Role: Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant SENCo qualification or equivalent experience. Proven experience working with students with special educational needs or disabilities in a school setting. Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills. Ability to lead and inspire colleagues in fostering an inclusive learning environment.
