Plan, manage and deliver medium to large projects
1. Initiate projects by compiling a project charter and register and obtaining approval from the project sponsor and Delivery Lead.
2. Plan and deliver the committed portfolio of projects in accordance with scope, time and costing and in line with corporate governance and SBV project Management Methodology.
3. Conduct project change control for any changes that will influence project scope, time, cost and quality in accordance with the approved change control process.
4. Identify potential risks to the project and conduct risk mitigation, addressing any impediments that may slow down project progress and escalating where required.
5. Refer to the procurement strategy and contracting strategy to determine the procurement of long lead items and include procurement deliverables into the project schedule, including RFI, RFP and delivery times.
6. Determine, draw up and document a resource plan that must be on and off boarded from the project, addressing roles and responsibilities on the project as well as general management of the resources.
7. Monitor and maintain the financial performance of projects by tracking costs against the budget and escalating financial anomalies.
8. Close out projects once deliverables have been completed and obtain sign off from project stakeholders, including administrative and financial requirements from a close-out perspective.
Improve administration efficiencies and provide administrative support for the delivery of projects
1. Create, implement and manage administrative tools such as dashboards and project libraries to maintain accurate and timeous project documentation practices.
2. Conduct administrative duties such as facilitating project meetings, processing invoices, and reporting on project progress.
3. Conduct administrative close out to verify that all required documentation is stored for accurate record keeping.
4. Improve administration efficiencies by reviewing practices and making suggestions for improvement in line with best practice.
Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
1. Accountable for stakeholder management through effective project governance.
2. Collaborate with Change Management throughout project lifecycles to facilitate various business changes and incorporate change management deliverables into the project schedule.
3. Manage the integration and collaboration of different stakeholders on projects by designing the communication matrix whereby agreements are made on the frequency and methods of project team communication.
4. Lead project progress as well as steering committee meetings to track project progress and provide any escalations as per the principles stipulated by the project needs.
5. Actively communicate and provide feedback to stakeholders on project progress.
Provide guidance to direct and indirect reports on deliverables and project governance
1. Provide guidance to direct and indirect reports to maintain that project deliverables are aligned to the strategy.
2. Provide guidance to project teams on governance relating to the 6 project constraints (Scope, time, cost, quality, risks, resources).
3. Provide performance updates to the Delivery Lead as and when required.

5. Manage one’s headcount in alignment with the principles and policies of SBV on a monthly basis, inclusive of notifying HR of team cancellations, new business, and new initiatives with the relevant documentation/approvals.
6. Preside over disciplinary hearings on behalf of SBV in alignment with statutory requirements and the policies & procedures of SBV.

1. Drive the department’s values while inspiring confidence and generating excitement, enthusiasm and commitment towards the mission.
2. Serve as a leader of the culture program driving the desired behaviours and encouraging employee engagement.
3. Create and implement strategies in collaboration with Change Management & HR to evaluate and maintain employee satisfaction.
Lead as an Ambassador and executor of Change
1. Act as a change management architect in periods of change to ensure continuity to operations.
2. Manage the integration of business units for seamless end to end solutions for customers.
3. Effectively communicate and embed new processes and procedures as they occur, addressing or escalating matters/concerns to the SMEs (subject matter experts) when required.
4. Facilitate the necessary presentations, workshops, or forums in order to ensure consistent and accurate communication is given across one’s centre/s.
Requirements
1. 5 years managing the delivery and execution of medium to large initiatives end to end.
2. Experience working in the Banking/Financial sector advantageous.
3. MS Office Suite at an Intermediate Level.
4. Relevant 3 year degree or diploma.
5. CAPM Prince 2, or equivalent certification would be advantageous.
