Description
Performs a variety of audit procedures including analyses, appraisal, and evaluation of the school division's functions and activities, either individually or as part of a team; assists in larger audits under the supervision of the auditor in charge.
Qualifications
Required
1. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, with major course work in accounting, auditing, or finance.
2. One (1) year of experience in auditing, accounting, or fiscal management.
1. Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
3. Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the theory, procedures, and practices related to public and educational administration, audit, and finance.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
1. Certification as a certified internal auditor, certified information systems auditor, certified public accountant, and/or certified fraud examiner.
