JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: DOMICILIARY FIELD CARE SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBLE TO: REGISTERED MANAGER Purpose of Position Classique Care Services Limited are looking to recruit a field care supervisor who will work in Croydon and surrounding areas within Lambeth and will be responsible for implementing field-based quality monitoring systems and providing support to all Care & Support Workers within a defined area. Classique Care Services is a well-established and expanding domiciliary care agency that has been providing care assistants to clients and helping them to continue living safely and independently in their own home. Our Field Care Supervisor are our main link between the office and our Service Users and their most important responsibilities includes ensuring that our customers are receiving the care and support they expect and deserve, ensuring that our Care Workers are carrying out their duties to the high standard that we expect of them, and working closely with the office-based team. The work will involve conducting assessments and reviewing on a regular basis how the service is delivered. Field Care Supervisors spend approximately 95% of their working week in the field with Service Users and Care Workers with the remaining 5% being spent in the office in order to complete necessary administrative duties and report back to the Registered Manager and Care Coordinator. On-call on week on/ week off basis. Any other duties as deemed necessary by the business. Duties and responsibilities • Assist in the monitoring of quality control procedures • Carry out customer assessments prior to commencement of care services • Conduct Risk Assessments as part of the Individual Needs Assessment and to update these as required as part of the Service User's risk management • Attending customer's first call to introduce the care worker • Liaise closely with Care Coordinators regarding recruitment, permanent allocation of Care & Support Workers and the writing of Care & Support Plans • Conduct Care Reviews and respond to Individual Review Forms completed by Care Workers • Report any changes in a Service User to the Care Coordinator • To be a part of the emergency on-call rota as and when required • Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively e.g. covering calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent. Recording all emergency calls and passing the information to appropriate parties • Collection and distribution of MAR charts • To induct all new support supervisors into the role • Monitor, supervise and mentor all Care Workers in the field • Encourage and identify opportunities for Care Workers' continuing professional development • To ensure work is allocated fairly and appropriately with the support supervisor • To liaise with the care manager regarding support supervisor supervision needs • To work as part of the team delivering care to customers who otherwise would not receive a visit • To attend customer reviews in the absence of the care manager • Monitor all Service Users for customer satisfaction • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation held in Service Users' homes • To ensure that all changes to care schedules are reported without delay to the coordinators • To maintain all reporting and recording procedures are up to date • Ensure that all written reports and administration is up to date • To liaise closely with coordinators, care manager, support supervisors, customers, care workers and external agencies • To assist in performance related matters when requested • Arrange and manage staff changeovers and briefings for live-in care assignments in the absence of the care manager • To attend all team meetings • To assist in the implementation of any necessary changes to ensure a quality service is maintained • To ensure rigorous adherence to all Classique Care Services systems • This list is not exhaustive and additional duties may be required Qualification and Experience Desirable: • Experience in quality customer care delivery (a & i) • Full UK Driving License (a) Essential Qualities • We are ideally looking for someone who lives in this area and has good local knowledge (a & i) • Car drivers preferred (a & i) • Supervisory or Management Experience within Health and Social Care (a & i) • Ability to handle emergency situations (i) • Highly professional in approach and attitude, with demonstrable customer service skills (i) • Excellent communication skills (both spoken & written) (a & i) • Ability to work flexible hours (i) • Ability to work under own initiative (i) • Good administration/computer skills (i) • Extensive home care experience with a min.
