Management Accountant Edinburgh/ London (Hybrid) We're currently seeking for a Management Accountant based in Edinburgh or London to join our finance team. The Management Accountant will be fully responsible for the Accounts Payable (AP) function, manage General Ledger postings and have ownership of a variety of month-end, year-end and ad-hoc tasks. They will work with the rest of the Finance Team to ensure all balance sheet nominals are reconciled on a monthly basis and assist with P&L variance analysis and other month-end reporting tasks driven by Finance Team priorities. The Management Accountant will help to identify process weaknesses and assist in the running of a well-controlled Finance function. Additional responsibilities will be largely ad-hoc but will provide specific cover and hands-on support to the wider Finance Team as required, particularly during busy or holiday periods. Key Accountabilities: Post AP invoices, reconcile supplier statements, prepare bi-monthly payment proposals and manage the AP mailbox / AP related queries Post daily cash transactions and ensure banks are reconciled throughout the month Have ownership of all HMRC related tasks including monthly PAYE, quarterly VAT, annual P11D/PSA and ad-hoc ONS reporting and ensure reporting requirements are completed accurately and by set deadlines Review internal processes and help to align Netsuite functionality to compliment these Provide holiday/sickness cover for other Finance colleagues to ensure daily continuity across the wider finance team Assist with ad hoc projects and any other tasks as required by the Head of Finance Create, revise and update internal process documents for Netsuite tasks as required Post month-end accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other journals and ensure balance sheet reconciliations are carried out every month Create and post payroll, pensions and other salary related journals and reconcile all salary related control accounts on a monthly basis. Review, analyse and post all company expenses and credit card claims Key Skills/Experience: Meticulous attention to detail Relishes the challenge of complex reconciliations A willingness to do ad-hoc tasks on a daily basis, to roll up sleeves and do what is needed to best assist the team and the business Ability to multi-task and prioritize Pro-active approach to tasks Ability to work to tight Group reporting deadlines Good working knowledge of payroll processing and pensions compliance Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Proficient Excel and Microsoft Office skills Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements Professional approach to communication Knowledge: CIMA/ACCA/AAT Qualified/Part-qualified/Qualified by experience.
