Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. You will work alongside an impressive Finance Manager and established team, contributing to a friendly, collaborative work environment. Duties Processing subcontractor payments, including assessment of CIS-Construction Industry Scheme deductions and DRC-VAT reverse charges. Reconciling and preparing monthly CIS returns. Issuing subcontractor CIS statements. Managing subcontractor retentions. Processing and reconciling credit card and petty cash. Providing cover when necessary for all tasks performed by other team members. Assisting with the production of job costing reports. Qualifications Ideally experience in a previous similar role. Good Excel skills required. Proficient use of accounts software (preferably Sage & Eque2 Construction Manager). Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work to strict deadlines. Good clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build good working relationships with both external subcontractors/suppliers/clients and with colleagues throughout the Company. Good organisational skills Salary: £25K-£30K Holidays: 25 days plus Bank holidays Pension: Auto-enrolled into the company pension scheme. Working Arrangements: The post would be office-based.
