Fairport Engineering Limited have now been acquired by pxGroup and as a result FTT has now become pxFairport. We are an Engineering and Projects Delivery business specialising in the design, installation, management and consultancy of bulk material handling systems across a number of sectors, with specific expertise in tunnelling, aggregates and ports. With long standing industry expertise, our recent history includes successfully delivering projects in the UK, Europe and Asian markets. The Opportunity The Head of Civil/ Structural Engineering role is responsible for the delivery of Civil/ Structural engineering scope across projects, studies, and bids; this includes ensuring designs meet the highest standards with regards to safety, code compliance, scope alignment, quality, cost, and on-time delivery. In this role you will promote structural efficiency, cost optimisation, and quality of output, through resource management and acting as a business subject matter expert. Minimum Requirements: BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Civil or Structural) Chartered Engineer (CEng, preferably ICE or IStructE) Strong experience in a Civil/ Structural engineering field. Knowledge of the construction & process industries and applicable standards. Ability to use structural analytical software unaided (STAAD Pro or TEKLA Structures preferred). Ability to interpret Site Investigation reports and identify civil implications.
