Sefton Council are looking to appoint a Service Manager – SEND to lead and manage the statutory assessment team and travel support team in order to transform and develop services for children with Special Educational Needs. Reporting to the Head of SEND and Inclusion, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of services and commissioning and procurement of specialist provision for children and young people (0 to 25 years) with special educational needs and disabilities. You will be responsible for key deliverables within statutory deadlines, ultimately adhering to statutory legislation such as SEN Code of Practice (2001) and Children and Families Acts (2014). Do you have the innovation and drive to shape how we deliver services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and the ability to work collaboratively to engage, influence, inform and inspire? You will be highly experienced in engaging with stakeholders both internally and externally including parents/carers, children and young people, health colleagues, social care etc., building, fostering, and maintaining high level partnerships across a complex landscape.
