We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Salesforce Development Assistant to join our team. The Salesforce Development Assistant at Central Pharma will be responsible for assisting the future development and maintenance of all Salesforce applications.
The role is primarily office-based in Bedford, and the successful applicant must be willing to travel to the office regularly. Hybrid working arrangements may be considered, depending on both personal and business needs, with the expectation of weekly office attendance.
Hours of Work:
* Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5pm
* Friday: 8:30am to 2pm
Role Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development of custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to meet business requirements.
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment of custom applications on the Salesforce platform.
* Collaborate with teams to review and optimise business processes by implementing automation, custom development, and integration solutions.
* Analyse user stories, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and implement them using Salesforce development tools.
* Develop and maintain triggers, batch processes, and REST/SOAP APIs for system integrations.
* Use best practices to create reusable and scalable code, ensuring performance optimisation and maintainability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Salesforce customisations, ensuring efficient performance and user satisfaction.
* Keep up to date with Salesforce updates and new releases, applying the latest features and improvements to the organisation’s Salesforce instance.
* Collaborate with other developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with other systems and effective delivery of solutions.

* Proven experience in Salesforce development with a strong focus on Apex, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
* Proficiency in designing and implementing REST/SOAP APIs for system integrations.
* Strong understanding of the Salesforce Object Model, SOQL, and SOSL.
* Knowledge of Salesforce best practices for development, version control, and deployment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in Agile methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira is a plus.
* Salesforce Platform Developer certifications or Apex, LWC, and Aura Specialist/Superbadges on Trailhead are required for this role. Please provide your public Trailhead profile link when applying.
Relationships:
* The Salesforce Development Assistant will report directly to the Systems Development Manager.

What We Offer:
* Salary between £48,000 – £53,000 per annum
