Paraplanning Supervisor - Whiteley
We are looking for a Paraplanning Team Leader to join our client's expanding firm in Whiteley. You will help manage the team on a day to day basis, ensuring pipleine management and progressing cases in a timely manner, highlighting any potential concerns to the paraplanning manager. You will need to understand the client needs and objectives, helping to define the appropriate advise route and deliver recommendations in a clear and compliant manner.
Role
The role will report to the Director of Wealth Operations, and the key areas of the role are as follows:
1. Day to day management of Paraplanners
2. Tracking paraplanners competency and training needs
3. Running quarterly reviews for your direct reports
4. Perform end of year remuneration review meetings
5. Training team members and supporting their development
6. Produce and analyse management information
7. Actively manage and take responsibility for the performance to your team
8. Undertake peer reviews for the paraplanning team, provide feedback and identify areas for further training/development
9. Running and maintaining the Paraplanner bonus scheme
10. Getting involved in project work to further improve the systems and processes
11. Reviewing and documenting procedures
12. Maintaining templates and tools
13. Analyse client information and existing investments/plans
14. Maintain a level of paraplanning work to support as overflow for the team
15. Tax calculations (IHT/CGT/bonds etc)
16. Construct appropriate solutions for clients in conjunction with the advisers
17. Write suitability reports for cases of varying complexity
18. Run Cashflow models for clients
19. Be a point of contact for technical queries for CS and advisers
20. Communicating with clients on research and report time scales
21. Attend client meetings where required
Responsibilities
22. Ensure all work completed by yourself and your team is accurate and completed to a high standard
23. Work with the Paraplanners in your team to develop them and ensure they have the support they need to progress
24. Keep clear and up to date records relating to the management of your team
25. Ensure your team is hitting appropriate targets and deadlines
26. Take responsibility for the for the management information provided by your teams to ensure it is accurate and up to date. Think client when you are writing a report to ensure the report is client friendly and easy to digest
27. Taking ownership of the clients experience by ensuring you effectively manage your cases throughout the process
28. Ensure all e-mails, research documents and report drafts are saved to our file storage system with meaningful titles
29. Strive to meet all points on the PP service charter
Experience and Qualities:
30. Demonstrate a strong technical knowledge and understanding of all financial products
31. Experience within the financial services industry and have had at least 5 years Paraplanning experience
32. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
33. Ability to communicate effectively with departments across the business as well as clients
34. Ensuring you are a good role model to other members of the team by being proactive and positive
35. Being comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment that experiences lots of
developments and changes
36. Be organised and able to manage a busy workload
37. Being a good team player and offering to help the team where you can
38. Confident in running training sessions/meetings
39. Happy to share knowledge and experience with the wider team
40. Completed, or be well on their way to completing their Level 6 Advanced Diploma in regulated Financial Planning
41. Have strong IT skills; experience of Curo, FE Analytics and Voyant advantageous
42. Take responsibility for your own development including being aware of your knowledge gaps and actively working to close these gaps
