We're looking for a strategic, results-driven Head of Infrastructure to join our Digital & Data team and take charge of our evolving technology estate. If you're passionate about delivering world-class infrastructure services and managing high-value supplier relationships, this could be for you.
About the Role
As Infrastructure Manager, you’ll be the strategic and operational lead for Merlin’s global infrastructure estate - spanning cloud platforms, data centres, networks, and critical hardware. This role is central to our mission of delivering exceptional digital guest experiences by ensuring the technology foundations are secure, scalable, and high-performing.
Responsibilities
* Own and optimise our infrastructure landscape - cloud services, networks, data centres, and hardware.
* Lead supplier relationships, ensuring delivery against SLAs, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Drive infrastructure upgrades, capacity planning, and business continuity initiatives.
* Track and manage budgets, deliver financial reporting, and spot opportunities for cost reduction.
* Ensure all infrastructure services comply with regulatory and security standards.
* Partner across Technology, Procurement, Finance, and business units to deliver on performance and strategic goals.
Skills & Experience
* 5–7 years’ experience in infrastructure or supplier management within tech-driven environments.
* Solid understanding of both cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments.
* Proven ability to manage vendor contracts, SLAs, escalations, and performance reviews.
* Strong skills in budget management, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
* Deep knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001) and risk mitigation.
* A knack for building relationships, solving problems, and leading cross-functional projects.
* Bonus points for relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP).
