Job Role:
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in major infrastructure projects? We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of the project, ensuring its successful delivery on time and within budget. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a significant energy infrastructure project, with lodge accommodation provided during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
·Cost Management: Oversee and manage all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, ensuring they are within the projected budget.
·Financial Advisory: Provide financial and commercial advice to the project team, supporting cost-effective decision-making and project success.
·Tender and Contract Preparation: Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
·Cost Monitoring: Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, proactively addressing potential issues.
·Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks, protecting the project's financial integrity.
·Subcontractor Management: Handle subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and company standards.
·Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations and quality standards, contributing to a safe and successful project environment.
Person Specification:
·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects.
·Strong knowledge of NEC contracts is essential.
·Previous experience working in Major Projects.
·Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
·Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
·Strong communication and negotiation skills.
·Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
·Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
