Our Aerospace client based in Titchfield, Fareham are seeking a Repairs technician to join their aftermarket division.

Job Opportunity: Mechanical Repairs Technician
Location: Titchfield
Contract: PAYE Contract, initially until December 2025, with the likelihood of extension
Working Hours:
Core Hours: 37 hours per week
* Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:15pm
* Friday: 7:30am - 11:30am
Holiday: 33 days paid holiday or have the monetary amount in your pay each week!
Pay Rates:
First 12 Weeks
* Overtime paid at time and a half and double time
After 12 Weeks
* Overtime paid at time and a half and double time
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform disassembly, assembly, testing, and fault diagnosis of electrical, pump, and mechanical units.
* Enhance turnaround times for critical civil and military contract units through efficient practices.
* Adhere strictly to safe working practices and site regulations.
* Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve quality, reduce costs, and meet delivery targets.
* Demonstrate teamwork, autonomy, and adaptability to changing demands.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in the aerospace sector or a similar industry.
* Proficiency in interpreting SPC data collection and recording results.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Hands-on experience in machining.
* BTEC Level 2/3 in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience in a similar environment. City and Guilds/National Certificate in an engineering discipline is advantageous.
* Strong mechanical background.
* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK, adhering to ITAR restrictions.
