Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Religious Education (RE) Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising RE lessons across various year groups in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged, on-task, and continue their learning journey effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and support the teaching of RE lessons during the absence of the regular teacher
· Deliver pre-set work and help students to stay on track with tasks
· Manage student behavior in accordance with the school's policies
· Ensure a positive and productive learning environment is maintained
· Provide support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome challenges during lessons
· Collaborate with the RE department and other colleagues to ensure continuity in students learning
· Report back to the teacher on students progress and any issues that arise during lessons
Ideal Candidate:
· A strong interest or background in Religious Education (Degree or equivalent preferred)
· Experience in working with young people, particularly in an educational setting
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students
· Strong classroom management abilities and the capacity to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
· Proactive, with a willingness to take initiative and support the RE department when required
