We are currently seeking an experienced Children’s Registered Service Manager to join a fantastic home for young people aged 12-17 years old with backgrounds of CSE, CCE and EBD within the Carlisle area.
About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Service Manager to lead in a pioneering role under the new Multi-Building Registration Ofsted Policy Guidance. Hold overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the Children’s Home and be accountable for delivering a high quality of service, ensuring care, welfare, safety, and security of all children and young people. Support, lead, and manage a team of staff who will provide protection and support for the children’s physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.
Your key responsibilities as the Registered Service Manager:
* Report to the Operations Manager, with support from an Assistant Manager, and effectively manage a Multi-Building Registration.
* Lead, manage, and operate your service, supporting children and young people.
* Work towards the progression and development of the children through a positive outlook and ability to see beyond behaviours.
* Set the operational direction and organise the effective running of the service to meet its statement of purpose.
* Mentor and support residential support workers to excel in their roles.
* Collaborate with external agencies.
Qualifications and experience needed:
* A Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People).
* Good knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015), including quality standards.
* At least 3 years’ experience within a children’s residential home and 1 year at a senior level.
* A Full UK driving licence.
