DB Charles Recruitment are working with a client whom they hold a great relationship with and they are looking to hire a new permanent Support Analyst to join the growing business based in Lincoln. The business is currently in an excellent position with a number of high performing teams and they hope to attract a candidate excited by the prospect of working with their business.
The role is a permanent position for a Support Analyst focusing on Application & Software Support to be based from their site in Lincoln, with hybrid working capability on offer. The role is predominantly to aid and support the business's customers, promoting an excellent level of customer support service.
Day to day duties will include:
1. Training on IT systems and specific applications to be able to deliver end user support
2. Taking & recording customer queries onto the support database ticketing system
3. Providing support and resolutions to a variety of application & software queries
4. Diarising and returning customers' phone calls
5. Actioning fault responses in line with the company procedures and agreed contracts
6. Reporting any major faults or bugs to the System Development Team using the correct reporting tools
7. SQL updates
8. Working closely with the Support Manager
9. Liaising with a number of different internal teams
DB Charles have spoken at length with the client on the various skill sets and backgrounds they seek in order to hire, including a number of the below:
1. Preferable background from customer service or a telephone-based role
2. Will consider recent graduates with an interest in IT & systems; however, this is not essential
3. A background in application or software support would be highly advantageous; however, it is not necessary
4. Experience in delivering excellent customer service via phone, email & face to face
5. Working knowledge of basic IT systems
6. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server advantageous; however, it is not essential
7. Ability to commit to a permanent role based in Lincoln, with hybrid working in place (2 days per week in the office)
The client is offering a salary of £25,000 per annum, and the role will be working Monday to Friday with different shift patterns on offer, varying from 8:00 am to 4:45 pm, 8:30 am to 5:15 pm, or 9:15 am to 6:00 pm. The role amounts to a 38 - 39 hour week.
