Techniche Global is supporting a leading supplier of ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Camera technology across the UK in appointing a Field Service Engineer covering Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire regions.The role is available on an initial 3 month contract with a pay rate up to £27/hour PAYE or £35/hour Umbrella. As the Field Service Engineer you will be involved in the maintenance, installation and commissioning of their high technology ANPR systems used across various road systems. Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer: Site survey to define equipment required on site. On site repairs/equipment replacement. Pre-installation configuration of equipment. Installation and commissioning of company's ANPR equipment. Provision of customer training. ‘Live’ testing of new products. Provision of technical support when in office. Assist with pre-qualification equipment testing. Accurate and thorough documentation of activities carried out on site. Logging and reporting design issues. Provide a knowledge base to internal and external customers on company's products. Escalate issues as needed to the engineering team and the Customer Support Manager. Work as a team to meet contractual support requirements. Have a valid passport and be able to travel as required. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required: Valid NPPV3 vetting clearance. GCE/GCSEs grade C or higher in English & Maths - essential ONC Electronic & Electrical engineering - desirable Relevant Vocational qualifications - desirable IPAF accreditation G39 accreditation NRSWA signing, lighting & Guarding accreditation Driving Licence. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills Good understanding of networking, WAN, LAN, WIFI & GPRS/3G. Ability to work on own initiative & as part of the team. Understanding of XML, .Net 3.5 framework, C# or equivalent. Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Manage time and set priorities for tasks. Previous experience of working in a technology installation environment. Experience of working as part of a team Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation and with external contacts Ability and willingness to work weekends, when required.
