Role Overview: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team. This role is focused on providing support to small groups of pupils, ensuring that each child receives the attention and assistance they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
Provide focused support to small groups of pupils, tailoring assistance to individual needs
Help with the planning and preparation of classroom materials and resources
Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Support the academic and social development of pupils
Supervise children during break times and school trips
Contribute to the maintenance of a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above)
Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
A flexible and proactive approach to duties
Desirable Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience with Key Stage 1 curriculum
First Aid certification
